I Exult in God My Saviour

I have to revel in the goodness of the Lord!

After having a child with cancer at the tender age of 3 years old, with already 3 children including one that was still a nursing infant, it seemed like an eternity to get over this very difficult season of my life.  It was a grueling 3 years.  Now she is cancer free!

God saw us through that painful time in our lives with the prayerful support of family, friends, a great home school support group , the best medical team and a vital charismatic community that kept us in their intercessory prayers daily.  

God has provided me with so many ways of suffering but in each and every one there have been tangible miracles along the way....even keeping close to him is a miracle in itself.  I told him once, “Lord, let me never be parted from you!”  As of this day,  He’s been so faithful!

In 2013 divorced, annulled, a ruined credit and in debt, with all 5 of my children with me, I was accustomed to Lectio Divina. This is a way of reading the Daily Mass Readings and scouring out its meaning, in a large overall sense and a personal one.  My spiritual director, Fr. Paul Lehman, who was also head of the Charismatic Community I was part of, brought us to this intimacy with the Lord.  

The Lord told me through the Daily Mass Readings, he was going to move out of where I was living and to a new larger place.  I giggled and said, “I don’t know how you are going to do it, but in the natural- it would be impossible”.  But since he made me understand this, I believed it!

Without the usual means to obtain a mortgage…I was working on faith….ALONE!!!

Praying with my prayer partners, it was apparent where he wanted me to search.

Incidentally, it Is in one of the only counties that still observes the Blue laws.
I found a house and the ball started rolling.  At the closing date, I STILL couldn’t get a mortgage.  The mortgage people almost gave up.  I spent hours in prayer, mainly the Rosary and  Divine Mercy Chaplet…but also on the hundred bead rosary- “Thank you Lord”, over and over again.

On top of that, it is my believe that he wanted me to show the movie, “Mary of Nazareth” in a theatre for 4 showings on the Solemnity of the Mother of God.  Seems overwhelming doesn’t it???

On Dec 27, 2013, my lawyer told me to come to his office, he said to bring another $10 grand, we are going to close.  I responded, “I have no money.  We need to cancel this”.  He then said,  he would call me back.

So I’m in my car heading toward the movie theater’s in Jersey Gardens to sign the paperwork.  The readings of the day were to” Rejoice”.  So that I did, I exulted and said, ”On a good day or a bad day, you are highly to be praised!  So I rejoice in you with all that I have”.  After signing the paperwork and so happy that the Blessed Mothers Image would be so prominent in a secular setting, I headed home.

Still in praise mode, I received a phone call from my lawyer saying that he made a mistake and to come over!  I closed in 30 minutes!!! 

The Word of God came true in 10 months and 10 days on this very feast day.  The feast of “St John the Evangelist”!!!!!

Little did I know that John Leaps Evangelization would be born 3 years later.

So the promises of the Lord came because his Word is true.  Heaven and earth may pass away, but his Word will never pass away.

His Word is trustworthy.  Learn Lectio Divina, so you can know His Word in your life, and you can see how true our Living God's Word is!!!!  

Happy Feast of John The Evangelist!!  Today, let us remember all the favors of the Lord, and like Mama Mary...exult in God our Saviour!

Today is the 10th Anniversary of getting the house in Paramus!
