Lets get deeper into Christ, He says He wants us to follow Him.  When we do...we find treasures that we didn't know existed and it gives the heart such joy that it takes flight.  We have been deceived to think the world has something that can give us permanent satisfaction but when you finally follow Him, the truth uncovers...and your heart starts to fill up, until you know...this is what my heart
has be yearning for !!!!  Let's do this together!!!

God's ways are definitely not our ways

David  has a momentary lapse of judgment as he takes a census to push his power.  It was never his power to push.

He forgot that God is the king and God doesn’t measure power through the usual secular natural means.  Our Supernatural Father uses the small, the meek the humble to be the powerhouses.  What cranks out this power is Trust.   Imagine, by the usage of the rosary, each prayer (rose) is a total scourge to the devil.  If we can only see with enlightened eyes what we really occurs when the rosary is prayed - we probably would be on rosary marathons.

David immediately realizes what he has done and acknowledges his sin.

The punishment is mammoth. Huge to say the least.  So many people’s lives were taken.  In the punishment he chose, 70,000 died.

It goes to show that being in a position of power is very serious and one must lean on God always.  It’s very easy to get lost and be caught up in self will.  How many will get hurt from our wrong decisions?

The contradiction of it all is Jesus who is God, was disguised in ordinary life.  He was a carpenter, had a family who didn’t really stand out…he was really one of us.   The weak human condition has a flawed wisdom…. we base importance and strength in the extraordinary.  We are looking for the powerful.

Jesus could do no such miracle in his own place because they couldn’t fathom he was anything else but ordinary.  His works, his miracles his wisdom didn’t matter to them.  Faith was not living in that place, without faith how can you possibly have trust?

Look in the ordinary things in your life and find God there.  There's an abundance of the ordinary because he wants you to find him always.

What struck me about today’s reading was the first reading where David found out that his son Absalom had been killed. This child who was trying to kill him.

Absalom was seeking to kill his father, without reciprocation…Ironically, Absalom himself was killed.  Where was the victory for David ???  No, there was deep mourning.  Poor David was inconsolable, in sheer pain, pining for him.  Years earlier, David heard the prophesied words of the curse that was laid upon him for his grievous sin and though he was forgiven there were repercussions.   This brought me into a deep reflection.

David didn’t want to fight back the living word of God’s just punishment. Here are the words:

Thus says the LORD God of Israel:
'The sword shall never depart from your house,
because you have despised me
and have taken the wife of Uriah to be your wife.'
Thus says the LORD:
'I will bring evil upon you out of your own house.
I will take your wives while you live to see it,
and will give them to your neighbor.
He shall lie with your wives in broad daylight.
You have done this deed in secret,
but I will bring it about in the presence of all Israel,

and with the sun looking down.'"

How culpable was Absalom when Nathan foretold that David’s wives would openly be unfaithful to him???  Handsome charming Absalom, he slept with those concubines.  He was considered one of David’s favorite at an earlier time. Maybe this coordinates with the David’s betrayal to Uriah who was a loyal soldier in David’s army.  David slept with his wife and got her pregnant and later had Uriah killed in battle.  David was treacherous and he knew he had it coming…but from his own flesh and blood???   Truly painful.
Look at the problems that were incurred in his own home and this is due to the one sin of adultery that snowballed.

  • One brother raped his half sister.
  • Another brother killed the raper half brother to avenge his full sister.
  • The avenging brother also wanted to kill his own father.
In totally 3 children died up to that point.  I’m including the baby produced through the sin of Bathsheba and David.
How many layers of generational sin are we dealing with in our own lives?  How about our children for our sins???   Because of sins of our fathers up the generations…we have a proclivity to sin but what is our level of culpability?  Only God knows this.
In other words, our children inherit the bad actions we leave…( up 3 or 4 generations..check scriptures)

But here’s the mercy of God:

“Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments…”.  Deuteronomy 7

Now the saving grace….
So the Gospel talks of Jesus resurrecting  Jairus’s young daughter.  He heals the woman with the bleeding issue for 12 years.   Love and Mercy came in His appointed time.  He told us to be perfect for our Heavenly Father is perfect.  He’s saying be Love.  Love is perfect, it atones for sins, many, many sins.  You can pray, you can fast- but loving people all around you, loving the souls in purgatory enough to get them out, loving your enemies until they are enemies no more, loving your daily duty….that resurrects you from the place that sin left you AND on that path you spread the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.   That changes the whole negative generational sin gameplay.

God does throws out the weights and balance.  He replaces it with MERCY…

JUMP INTO THE OCEAN OF MERCY!!!

So since you came this far:
secret of healing

Do we think that we are always the victim when things go wrong…. David didn’t. When his troubles came, he didn’t try to look at himself as the victim, rather he thought that he deserved what came to him…That’s exactly how it looks like in today’s mass readings.   We see that as favored as David was…he had still sinned grievously before God….  The curses he heaped upon himself were foretold as he realized how he offended God.

Those words, years later, were coming to pass when his own son Absalom was hunting David down to kill him.  David wept with his companions as they ran from Absalom.  He didn’t even want to fight back, because he acknowledged his guilt and loved his son so much.    Even the irritating man (from Saul’s family line) following David’s band of men, who kept taunting David with curses and throwing stones while they were trying to deal with the Absalom situation.  Still David didn’t want that man harmed, saying that it’s probably God allowing this.

We hear from the psalm, the cry to God- a plea for help against all one’s surrounding enemies.  Yet the cry still has confidence because he knows that the Lord will come and help.

That’s what I love about David, his confidence was more on God’s saving help than on his sinfulness.

Jesus comes into the picture in time.  He sees the demoniac filled with legions of evil spirits.  The question isn’t about how he has sinned to allow the door opened to let the unclean in, or the family’s sinful history.  In an extraordinary act of compassion, Jesus comes to save this one from his sins and performs an exorcism on him by his authority.  Out goes legions of demons from this man that afflicted for years.

The former demoniac wants to go follow Jesus.  But Jesus prevents him because he wants him to show the mercy of God performed on him to the people of that region!  Jesus makes him an evangelist!!!!

So brothers and sisters, troubles we encounter are most probably our fault.  We should still trust in God to help us in his Merciful Love, Then the next step is to BRAG, BRAG, BRAG.  Brag about God, Brag about his saving grace, Brag about his endless mercy.  Why?  Your bragging about God will bring more into the fold!  We then all win!!!
Thank you God for being who you are and loving us the way you do!

God bless you all!!!!

A Pure heart

The word I get so strongly today is the Lord wants a pure heart.   The two questions are, how do I get a pure heart and why does he want this so badly???

When a soul acknowledges sin, and when his heart truly repents and confesses, the Blood of the Lamb from the cross pours upon that soul and it is purified.  The confessional is where the miracles are abundant!!!  No wonder why Padre Pio practically lived in one.

It is likened to when the Jews were about to Passover to Egypt, but first so that the Lord could prepare and protect  them to be released from their bondage, the shed blood of the Passover lamb needed to be utilized. Hyssop was dipped into the blood, and per God's instructions, that blood was sprinkled or brushed on the doorposts and lintel of each home.

This was a symbol of the coming redeemer.  After Jesus was crucified we have an everlasting covenant that continues to purify us, keeping us safe and untethered to the slavery of sin.

The answer is so easy for one who longs to please God, it is the hearts sorrow for sin committed and that encompasses the desire not to do it again.  That's all, then God in his reliable way opens the door we slammed shut to let us in again.

Why does he want this?  Remember the Beatitudes?  Blessed are the pure of heart for they will see the Face of God.     ~Matthew 5:8.

Seeing  the Face of God has many, many benefits.
One, obviously- the joy of seeing his face, it an approval of God that you are in right order, that sin has been removed from blocking your sight.  Two, when His Face shines on you, you radiated It, thus there's a protection against evil.  Three, you hear his instructions clearly, your communication with him is has a higher level of clarity.  Four, fearlessness, how can one fear the antics of the enemy if the Face of God is always before them?

Remember Moses who spoke face to face with God?  His countenance was so radiant they had to cover it up?      T
hey saw that his face was radiant. Then Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the LORD.  Exodus 34:35
“The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend.  Exodus 33:11

Do you want a close relationship with God as He wants it with you?  I hope so!!!  It is the best thing ever and it is better than any other relationship bar none.  It allows your relationships with others to become exceedingly better!

God bless your day and spread the love!!!

Love , Karen

Divine Currency

As I was waking up this morning, I had just been told in my heart that souls are the most important thing. It is worth more than all the money and treasures in the world.  I believe God was putting this in my soul to remind us all.   All the provision given to us was for soul saving.  That is our common plight in this world.  It's the job that will give us the greatest satisfaction to do.  Our Father's greatest joy  is to welcome another soul enter into our Heavenly home!

One day, I was overwhelmed by God's goodness and was thanking him for everything.  Even the sun ray that was touching my face...I knew it was Him reaching out to caress me.  So the thought that came next was, "Lord you always give us so much. How can I repay you? "

"SOULS", was the answer.

Use the currency which is the Gold Standard : LOVE.  The Divine Currency.

He told them: "Take nothing for the journey--no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra tunic. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.            Luke 9 :3

Love is portable, it fits right in your heart, and everything else material, he will provide.

So if you are a competitive type of person, let this be what you compete in, bringing the most souls to heavenly glory.  Be like a bulldozer pushing souls north.

When it is our time to go home, when we make it to the our REAL HOME, we will be abound within treasures and treasures.  Yes- His Children are his ultimate, greatest treasure!

YOU ARE A PRODUCT OF GOD'S LOVE, TO GIVE LOVE AND RETURN TO LOVE.

Have a wonderful day!!!!

STRUGGLE.  We feel like we are praying for so many things that have yet to come to pass.  We face uncertainties about our future.  Angst may set in.  Meanwhile the Word of God says today to go out and spread the Good News.   This is what we are made to do.  The Good News is that in our misery, God sent the beautiful Redeemer to the Earth through a miracle of purity - The Incarnation.  His whole purpose was to bind our wounds, to be the example, to teach us the way of love but most of all to show us the Way to the Father.
He left us an indomitable Church, the vessel for which we can safely reach the Motherland.
That doesn't mean that you are absolved from doing your work for the Kingdom.  As you do continue your spiritual workout, the struggle, it is imperative that you offer everything, everything and everything to God.  Make sure you allow it to be released from you.  This will free you.  You were never meant to retain it.  That's Jesus' job.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”                                                                                    Matthew 11, 28-30

Those who do not are constantly overwhelmed and exhausted, they can be short tempered, and anxious and feel like giving up.   Meditative time in prayer, as we give Him thanks, praise and specifically to empty everything out  ...our works and even our failures- gives a discipline that will keep us unaffected by the constant dealings with the world.  Jesus wants you to help, but he helps us every step of the way.
This is how we can spread the Good News!
God bless you with a joyful spirit!
