First of all it was very organized priests were holy,awesome, well prepared, held your attention, music 🎶 was great 👍 good choice of hymns, especially the beautiful song written by Karen very touched by it, this healing of hearts 💕 retreat came at the perfect time in my life since my heart ❤️ was broken the retreat truly helped heal my heart ❤️ now I have the love & peace I needed to live in God's blessings & grace & trust that the move I had to sadly do is truly God's will for me!!! Thanks be to God for the Healing of Hearts retreat!!

I attended a Healing Hearts retreat last May and will do so again in January. This one day retreat is one of the most blessed retreats I've attended. Mass and confession are always healing, but Fr. Ernie's talks are uplifting, honest, sincere and full of hope in our God who loves us and wants the best for us. I've learned to be more aware of how Our Lord is working in my daily life and one of the best prayers is one of thanksgiving for all He's done for me. I felt more peace from that one day retreat than I've ever felt. I wish the same for you.

Seven years ago I had my whole Thyroid removed due to multiple nodules. My surgeon told me after the surgery that part of my vocal nerve was nipped. He told me this after I complained to him that I don't have my normal voice anymore. What I meant by normal was- I used to sing a lot & could reach different tunes (high or low). All of a sudden I could only sing low tunes, my voice would stop when I try to sing high octaves. This really made me sad because I truly loved singing especially Worship & Praise songs. My surgeon could not assure me my normal voice will come back. He said "at least you can still talk". He was right, I am grateful that I still have a voice. He suggested I try speech therapy but my insurance would not cover because of the fact that I can still talk. I spoke to a speech therapist last year about the possibility of regaining my normal voice- she said "you might, but it would be a long process of therapy because its been many years. In other word, my vocal muscle is already weak. So I accepted the fact that I could not sing the way I used to. I would have to settle with singing just low octave songs. It was very frustrating. I felt sad every time I tried singing. I went to many Healing masses asking the Lord to give me back my normal voice. Nothing happened.


Fast forward- My friend, Karen Japzon invited my husband & I to attend  the "Healing of The Hearts" retreat at St. Michael Church in Palisades Park. On February 24th we attended this healing retreat. Fr.Ernie Rush & Fr. Martin are the two priests I remember on this retreat. 
During the laying of hands, when Fr. Martin was praying over me, I kept asking the Lord to heal my vocal cord once & for all. I experienced such peace & joy after that. I did not even think of testing my voice after the healing mass!  I did not realized I was healed until a few days later when I was driving to work!  I was listening to KLove & doing a sing along worship song when I noticed I could sing higher pitch tune! I could not believe it! I am truly convinced our Merciful Lord, the Master Healer healed me during the Healing of The Heart retreat. Fr. Martin was the instrument God used for my healing. Today I attended the Healing Hearts Retreat with Fr. Ernie Rush. This is the second time I attended this retreat and I'm never disappointed and always, always blessed! Fr. Ernie is a gifted speaker and touches on all aspects of healing, not only physical, but also emotional and spiritual healing. A Holy Hour and confession are a part of this retreat along with talks and ending with Mass. We all have blessings in life, but also trials. It's during this retreat that we sit, think and offer these trials to Our Lord. We learn to truly trust Him with all our being. Please come and experience this retreat and let the Holy Spirit guide you through this blessed day.

Sr. Clare’s first desire was to become an actress.  But, God had a plan thats was for he to become a very special nun.  A singing joyful nun who so loved and enjoyed being with the children she taught, who loved her so much and learned so much from her about God.  The film was such a wonderful portrayal of her holy, happy life, as she so lovingly and joyfully gave her life over to those she so served, especially the children, who she enjoyed being with and gave her all to.  So much so she died trying to save them.  Such a wonderful portrayal of her beautiful life.  Be prepared to cry and see a future saint and the holy life of Sr. Clare.

I experienced…

• A stronger desire to get closer to God - A feeling that all will be well because God’s in control- a Chance to start anew more focused on God.  While letting go of the past.  It was a truly wonderful experience.  Thank you all for putting it together and giving us a chance to grow in our aith.  God bless you! Amazing event, highly recommended for any faithful Catholic. Our Blessed Mother is so good to us and led us to this event. I cried during several testimonies which were given and I saw that my husband was also very move. Zachary's conversion story is such a miracle through the Miraculous Medal and gives proof that the supernatural world really exists. Just because we don't see, doesn't mean it doesn't exist or that it doesn't impact us. We will be back to future events:-) Excellent job Karen:-)

The speakers were wonderful so all in all it was a great experience. However, there needs to be a schedule. Church papers and the internet had different times for the start of programs and the ending time. There should be a paper copy of the schedule. The schedule said lunch (which was great)and also said dinner. However dinner was on your own. It needed more lead time so other parishes could put it in their bulletin and give it more publicity. Having it locally was very good. Maybe the second day should have been "advertised" as right to life as it didn't seem to deal so much with the Blessed Mother.
