Lets get deeper into Christ, He says He wants us to follow Him.  When we do...we find treasures that we didn't know existed and it gives the heart such joy that it takes flight.  We have been deceived to think the world has something that can give us permanent satisfaction but when you finally follow Him, the truth uncovers...and your heart starts to fill up, until you know...this is what my heart
has be yearning for !!!!  Let's do this together!!!

The Transfiguration, Amazing Love

2/25/2024

So the Transfiguration is one of my favorite reflections.
This is because when I was caught up in contemplating the Transfiguration-  I saw the three in glory- Jesus, Moses and Elijah… and  I asked the reason why they were together.

I was then given to understand that Moses represents the law and Elijah the prophets.  The law was given to us so we can have the rules laid down so we can live and make it to heaven safely.  As for the prophets, I saw a person walking on a road and getting dangerously near the edge where he could fall and get harmed.   I saw a man directing him back to the middle of the path again , when he was ignored, he yelled to get him out of the danger zone (Just like you would if your child was too close to  a cliff).  That represents the prophets.  Prophets role was to be God’s mouthpiece to direct people on course and out of danger.

So the law and the prophets, I then understood.  But my lesson was not yet done.  The center, the heart of the law and the prophets is Jesus, meaning the core was love.   Love was the driving force.

So in essence the transfiguration was meant for us to be brought through this world back to love, for love and with love.♥️

You are that important to God.  You are wanted.  You are fully loved.  He wants you so much!!!!  Don’t forget about that.  Remind yourself everyday, so when the evil one tries to whisper negative thoughts in your ear, you fly above it.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.   John 14:2

You have a place set for you in heaven.  How great is God!!!

Sending love to all of you,

You are the Christ and the Christ appoints his Vicar to Shepherd his Church

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi he put this question to his disciples, ‘Who do people say the Son of Man is?’ And they said, ‘Some say he is John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ ‘But you,’ he said ‘who do you say I am?’ Then Simon Peter spoke up, ‘You are the Christ,’ he said ‘the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘Simon son of Jonah, you are a happy man! Because it was not flesh and blood that revealed this to you but my Father in heaven. So I now say to you: You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church. And the gates of the underworld can never hold out against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: whatever you bind on earth shall be considered bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth shall be considered loosed in heaven.’ Matthew 16:13-19

It's interesting to note, when Peter exclaimed who Jesus was, Jesus called him Simon....but the following sentence when Jesus called him Peter... "and upon this rock I will build my Church".  Now as Peter, he has a newly appointed role as head of the Church and that it has the keys to heaven-everything that the Catholic Church has to offer.  Change of name shows the change of life, role or mission.

So think about it.  The Church is made specifically to get us into heaven, it is a safe ship to get us to the harbor from the storm of the sea.  Is God negligent that he would ever leave the church without a shepherd?  Would he allow the church that he promised us to have a shepherd that would fool people? NO he wouldn't ..." And the gates of the underworld can never hold out against it."
If he ever did, he would be negligent and he would leave us as orphans... That proves that it cannot be done because his Word is true and it says, "I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you."  John 14-18

One of the Characteristics of Faith in the Catechism Of the Catholic Church says:
156 What moves us to believe is not the fact that revealed truths appear as true and intelligible in the light of our natural reason: we believe "because of the authority of God himself who reveals them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived".

God is faithful and true to his word  "Heaven and Earth shall pass but my words will never pass away." Matthew 24:35

The Church and the Pope come together.  The Authority he appoints to lead the Church through the Holy Spirit. So by mere deduction, can the Church fool us? No.  Can another force outside of the Church fool us?  Yes, the devil, our own fallible self or the world.  He has fooled masses of people through the media of course, propaganda is alive and well.  To me, propaganda is like cataracts to the eyes.  People are fooled easily because they believe what they read or see in YouTube videos, social media, mainstream media.  Most people don't care to research the facts.  So we are living in times where there is darkness, the darkness that tries to hide the truth or twist it.
"Darkness covers the world, deep darkness over the people. " Isaiah 60: 2

The responsorial psalm today is the "Lord is my Shepherd, there is nothing I should want. He guides along right paths....." He said he will guide us through right paths, he cannot deceive nor be deceived.     He leads us through the Church.  This is a sure shot.

God willing, in a moment living in the future, God will show us the truth.  He will show us how the devil tried to separate us from God.  Going against the Pope is going against the Church.  Going against the church endangers our safety and cuts us off from the vine.  (Like the schism headed by Luther) What happens when a branch is separated from the vine?  The branch dries up and dies.  We can turn back and be transplanted with a changed heart and thrive again.

A friend of mine I saw last Saturday had a vibrant glow on her face.  She looked radiantly beautiful.  I had to tell her.  She said to me someone told her to go to confession for judging a certain authority in the church, so she did the day before.  She said she felt God's glory and to her she felt the radiance!  Praise the Lord for humility.  Her joy was tangible!!!!  This could only be righteous in God's eyes and he showed his approval in a very visual way.  She fought against pride and won!  "...whatever you bind on earth shall be considered bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth shall be considered loosed in heaven.’"

I'm sorry this message was for the Feast of the Seat of Peter, but I was so exhausted I fell asleep.  I'm sending this out to you because as you know, this is a very controversial subject but I believe the Lord has revealed this to me and I need to share it.  Even if you may not believe it, go to him and pray about it.  If you feel like you've judged someone in our Ecclesial Heirarchy please confess it to God...Let him endow you with the radiance of His Face shining upon you!!!

Sending all my love.

God of Encouragement

When doubts assail your soul and prayer is so hard...

Don’t worry, it’s just a test.  It happens to everyone.  Pick up your rosary beads and move forward.  Even if you can’t do that,  little prayers from the heart.  Even if you don’t have the same fervor as before.
The past fervor make praying so easy and sweet.  But in these times when it is so difficult to pray, it is the most meaningful because you do it out of conviction... you know it is right.  You no longer are immature in your faith.
Darkness and dryness of soul may be the time of your testing, but our Father  sneaks in little gifts of encouragement, because that’s is who he is.  He can’t help being the best Father!

Just imagine, this test will pass too, and  he will say, “ My little one, you did it!”

He is for you, not against you.
He is for you, not against you.
He is for you, not against you.

The Kingdom of God is at Hand

"The Spirit drove Jesus out into the wilderness and he remained there for forty days, and was tempted by Satan. He was with the wild beasts, and the angels looked after him.  After John had been arrested, Jesus went into Galilee. There he proclaimed the Good News from God. ‘The time has come’ he said ‘and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the Good News."  Mark 1:12-15

Jesus showed us how to fight temptation. He went out in the desert and denied himself. Simple as that.  His focus was on  obedience.  He got tempted by the devil who offered him power and the riches of the world,  he was tempted by hunger, he was tempted by the world (being in the desert is no vacation in addition there were wild beasts around him)…and Jesus PASSED the test.  He is showing us how to do it.  It's like replacing something that's being removed.  By giving up something you desire, you are replacing it with the Word.  This is of extreme importance.

Discipline makes us stronger. The bottom line is, if you are in your time of complete testing, fasting from all your delights and  denying oneself strengthens us.   When I once had a problem with food (once is really an understatement) I prayed so hard to God for help.  You know what he said in my heart?  “Just say no!”  We have the power to say no!!!!  I literally wrote it on the back of my hands in marker and read it every time I got tempted.  “Just say no”.

Surrender opens us up to trusting Him more.  When we truly surrender to God in all things our faith grows.  Scales fall off our eyes and we can walk in a higher dimension of spirituality.   He says that the Kingdom of God is at hand.  Yes it is, it is where you are at this very moment. Jesus is in you. He brings heaven will him, align yourself with that reality.

Facing fears undoes Satan's manipulative antics. You realize that the whisperings of Satan are not your thoughts. Not only will you realize there was really nothing to fear, but the peace that will resound in your being is amazing.  People start to  feel it around you.  It attracks souls desiring to come closer to God. It repels souls with unclean spirits.

The Kingdom of heaven is at hand!

Sending love to all of you!

Crown of thorns

Driving to Philly yesterday, I was caught up in the reflection on the Crown of Thorns. As I saw Jesus’ head crowned with thorns, I had a deep understanding.  He is the King of Suffering.  All who claim Jesus as King are under his dominion. All who are suffering can give all their suffering as an acceptable sacrifice to offer to him.  He does glorious things with them.  More than you can imagine.

Quickly, I saw hands holding lots of golden nuggets and they were falling in between the fingers.  I understood that these sufferings  are precious and all who complain and feel sorry for themselves do not truly give these precious gifts to God they withhold them.  They fall away lost and not able to be of any use.

That is why he wants us to meditate on the sorrowful passion with time and care because compassion is drawn out it…and then all our sufferings feel like a small drop in a vast sea.  It also strengthens our resolve to give it with love and courage.

Don’t underestimate even small offerings like making a wrong turn,  or facing difficult people or even a paper cut.  With love every offering becomes huge.

One last thing,  I remember St. Brigitte of Sweden saw a soul in God’s tribunal at the point of his death.  I remember she saw his Guardian Angel who was his defense attorney and the devil.  The Guardian Angel said, “He (the soul before God’s tribunal) prayed  to God.”….the devil said, “Yes he did, but to ask God to remove every cross that was ever given to him…thus, he had no offering to give to God.”

Let’s always remember the value of suffering, the saints understood it well.

When I returned in the evening, My close friend also told me it was the Feast of Our Lady of the Thorns!  Wow.

Love you all!

Blinded, In Plain Sight

God desires full communion with us. We might even believe that we have achieved it. However, He reveals our faults to us in various ways, but pride often blinds us completely. He may show us a fault through our children, a family member, or a friend.

In response, we judge them, even when we believe we do not. Until a graced moment when you ask, "Lord, I think I’m judging. Could I have a wooden beam in my eye? I must be worse. Please show me." If that prayer comes from the heart, He will most certainly show you.

Through Jesus, I learned humility. I witnessed how humility worked its course in my own life. I was blinder than blind.  But he patiently and lovingly led me.

Humility was the grace that enabled me to gain clear insight in the swiftest manner.

I used the parable of 'why I should remove the splinter from my neighbor's eye when I have a beam in my own'. My prayer was based on that parable. The moment I began to judge someone (unintentionally, as it had become second nature), the grace allowed me to pray differently. It gave leeway for God to reveal the truth to me. Again, the sincerity of the heart was crucial.

If I'm starting to judge this person, then I must be doing that a hundred times worse. "Please show me, Jesus. I want to know the truth about myself. "🙏

By employing this prayer, self-awareness develops rapidly.  Then a wonderful thing begins to happen…you stop judging more and more and with that out of the way- there’s more room to love.

Love is absolutely everything.
Now, that I see with perfect clarity.

Our Change Will  Affect the World!

I have a good friend, Zac King.  He was a Satanic Wizard.  He live his life pleasing Satan and himself.  He wounded up with a big zero.  He was empty.  The spells gave him a high, the power gave him a high, his status gave him a high.  But after the high he tank to the dismal mark.

Until one fateful day in a mall he was given a Miraculous Medal.  He didn’t know anything about it, he didn’t know about the Blessed Virgin Mary or the Catholic Church.

The minute he closed his hand and gripped it.  He found himself in another place.  Everything around him disappeared, he was no longer in the mall.

There was the beautiful queen of heaven, Mama Mary.  She smiled at him!!!  She didn’t look at a Satan worshipper, she looked at her boy.  She took his hand and turned him around and there he saw Jesus, the Divine Mercy.  The rays were coming out of his heart. He converted to the Catholic Faith immediately after that.  Now he does all he can to stop abortion.

For lent, brothers and sisters, can we see with the Father’s  eyes how he views his children?  Let’s see the love of God towards people  who we would normally ignore. Maybe say a kind word, make a good gesture, assist in kindness.   Don’t stop there,  let’s do this constantly, especially family members whom we are annoyed with or treat below the kindness level.  Let’s see them with brand new eyes and love them with a changed heart of flesh.   Let’s see Jesus in them and let them see Jesus in us!!!!

The change in the world really needs to start with “me”.    That’s all we have control over. If you think that’ll not affect the world dramatically- look at Mother Teresa, Dorothy Day, Father Cappadonna, Padre Pio and the list goes on.

Our change is necessary.  Our world depends on it.  Spread LOVE everywhere.  Let that be our biggest sacrifice this lent!

Happy Valentine's Day!

 Love, Karen

The Bread of Life

2/13/2024

In today’s readings, Jesus reminds the apostles the example of the bread that was multiplied and the remainder after they were finished eating was 12 baskets of leftovers.  12 always refers to faith, the twelve tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles.

The other instance he multiplied bread, there were 7 basket left over and 7 refers to perfection and perfection is love.

How many times shall you forgive sin?  Jesus answer is  7 x 70 times… a divine eternal answer.  Always and forever.  That’s when true love abides in a soul.  Love is never something that can ever run out.  When it’s given away, it multiplies back to give away again.  In the economics of God thats how multiplication works, not by compiling what we have and keeping it.

Jesus  is moved with compassion and love.  The bread he offers is the physical bread that satisfies their natural hunger. His Words of Truth in His presence is the bread that satisfies the soul and the heart.
The Pharisees were not representing God’s law.  They were using their knowledge of it as a way to point the finger of blame when people didn’t live up to it, and used their power puffed up with superiority. Their bread was the leaven of pride containing empty air within it.  When there is pride, love has no room.
The whole purpose of the law was to keep the people of God safe, because in the journey of this life we come across many snares.  Eating this bread in life's journey keeps us filled spiritually, connecting us to the True Vine.
The Bread of Life wants to navigate us to heaven and as I said before, make it there safely.   The laws were made out of love from the Father to us.

Everything has to do with Love.  Love is all God is.  Always gazing at His Most Adorable Face, we will make it to Love.

Trust unleashes his Mercy

2/8/2024

It's unfortunate how Solomon, the wisest, fell.  He, through the influence of his wives, worshipped other God's, thus breaking God's commandments.  He did actions that were not wise at all, it all goes to show to be careful what company you choose.   He followed the  influence of the pagan wives he married, and he built altars for their pagan Gods.  If it can happened to the wisest man, it can happen to any of us.  It's important who we keep very close to us.  He still had his freewill to exercise. It seemed that his decision making was tainted.  So his kingdom was torn.

Makes you think that if the expanse of our own kingdom is our family, and it seems torn- Have we put something before God?  Our work, our house, our hobbies, sports, our friends???  If we see through the eyes of the Holy Spirit which always requires humility, He can show us.  Maybe it's our spouse, who has put other things before God.  What do we do in cases like these?

God can give great graces to those who trust.  If He has given us faith already, how can that be transformed into unshakeable Trust- which unleashes torrents of grace????   The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy!   Everything he has told St. Faustina to tell us, will supernaturally increase our trust.

Look at the example of today's Gospel.  It was the pagan Syro-Phoenician woman who came needing help for her demon afflicted daughter.   Jesus even challenged her...you are not of our faith why should I bless you.  It was her unbendable, unfaltering trust in what Jesus could do that made it impossible for him not to grant her request.  Her child was immediately delivered from the demon.

In my experience, being given the gift of prayer in this particular area of my life, I started doing so many chaplets a day.  I saw miracles upon miracles because that Trust grew and it was unwavering- no matter how dire circumstances were, my trust in Jesus toppled all negativities.  Try it for your impossible circumstance- Jesus gave us the Chaplet Himself, he would never fail us.  Immerse yourself in the sorrowful mysteries while praying it.

Look at the image of the powerful waterfall, His Mercy is by far greater than that.

JESUS I TRUST IN YOU, JESUS I TRUST IN YOU, JESUS I TRUST IN YOU
(AND I LOVE YOU, TOO)!

Love you all!

Today's readings are on wisdom.

As a reward, Solomon was granted great wisdom from God because he wanted to have an understanding mind to govern his people and to be able to discern good from evil.  He didn't ask for
selfish gain.  Wisdom gives joy to the people who seek the truth.  When the Queen of Sheba came from afar to ask him questions- he had answered them to her joy and surpassed her expectations because viewing her surroundings, she was impressed by the provision of God and the orderliness Solomon's home.
The just man’s mouth utters wisdom.
Commit your life to the Lord,
trust in him and he will act,
so that your justice breaks forth like the light,
your cause like the noon-day sun.

The just man’s mouth utters wisdom
  and his lips speak what is right;
the law of his God is in his heart,
his steps shall be saved from stumbling.

The salvation of the just comes from the Lord,
their stronghold in time of distress.
The Lord helps them and delivers them
and saves them: for their refuge is in him.

Conversely in the gospel,

And he went on, ‘It is what comes out of a man that makes him unclean. For it is from within, from men’s hearts, that evil intentions emerge: fornication, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, malice, deceit, indecency, envy, slander, pride, folly. All these evil things come from within and make a man unclean.’

This brings me to St. Joseph.  Words and Actions do tell what is in a man's heart..good or evil.

When Mary was with child...

Joseph was faithful to the law but didn't want her disgraced or killed.
So
Joseph wanted to divorce her quietly and that would mean that ultimately he saved her life and the life of LIFE Himself!  Joseph was pro life from the very beginning!  He was also pro love...it comes together!

Joseph didn't know how she became pregnant but he knew it was not from him.
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”  Matthew 1: 20-21

WISDOM:
Because this action of
Joseph, it shows the content of his heart, he had true love.  Even though he may have been terribly distraught, he did not take revenge..he did not have Mary and her child harmed!  He passed the test!  The test of Love!

Only one deserving of passing the test of Love can ever be the Steward of Love and the Tree that bore the fruit of Love!!!!!!!!  That's what the heart of Joseph is made up of!

You have a decision to make.  Will you be undivided and give your love to God?  Or will you be duplicitous ?  Yes to God or no?   We chose heaven or not by the above
question.
