Thy Kingdom Come on earth as it is in heaven

God is an interactive God and wants us to be, too, so we can take part of his superabundant life.  He wants so much more for us to just live in the ordinary.  He wants us to take his place and reach out to the needy and in turn he frees us of ourselves and of the bondages that we have.  That’s what real communion really means, pulling up your sleeves and finding Jesus out there everyday, in the needy and doing something about it. The people in need search for God because they’re hungry, thirsty, naked, imprisoned and lonely, who have somehow been reached out to, will realize that God had touched them thru people like you and me.  I think God loves mission-minded people, and this reading has the hidden secret to freedom.

This will weed out the ones who at the end of their life, belong to Him or not.

How beautiful are His Words:

"Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the thongs of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? 7Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? 8Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you, the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. 9Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, Here I am. "If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, 10if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. 11And the LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your desire with good things, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Thru this reading, may you come to true communion with Jesus and know what its like to live like a saint.

Feast of St. Thomas

I have come to the conclusion, that today, on the feast of St. Thomas, that God is telling me that I am blessed in that I believe though I do not see.  And I should extol His Holy Name, and praise Him in His greatness, not because I came to believe by not stumbling it on my own, but because of His deliberate faithfulness, He has outpoured His Holy Spirit that I may come to believing without seeing, having that precious thing that long ago I gave away so easily, but since have had restored…His Gift of Faith.

Because of this faith that was passed on from the Apostles and disciples from a tiny group, it has exploded through the generations, to this time and will go on beyond our life span here on earth.  That same Holy Spirit that generously gives faith to those who ask, gives the same faith that was given 2000 years ago.  It is not diluted as things of nature gets with the passage of time, but the same faith that the apostles got it in the upper room, the same fire that allowed people to die for this Christ that brought this message of Love and Hope.  The same fire that allowed people to walk miles and miles just to break Bread in secrecy because of how precious it was to them.

Yes, we are part of that network of God, starting out like a tiny mustard seed, and has grown to proportions that cannot be measured.  In this network, we are called the family of God.  This family that has the Holy Spirit guiding us collectively in our Church, yet dwells individually within us.  How good and faithful is our God!!!  God in wonderment and awe, I praise Your Holy Name, for you are due all praise!!!

We have been organizing events for years and years, on a voluntary basis.  Most of the Speakers spoke on the different aspects of Divine Mercy.....this year we became an official entity- fully Catholic, spreading the message of Love and Mercy, and as instructed by the church to go forth with the New Evangelization.  When naming the entity, I racked my brains for the name, and it was the Gospel Reading of today...Both Elizabeth and Zechariah answered when asked, "His name shall be John."  And todays first reading is the direction for which this expo follows. "he says: "It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel; I will give you as a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth."  So there you have it, that it how God named "John Leaps", because the name was wrought out of the reading of the day-  and what is the first thing we heard John do when his mom was greeting by Mary (both John and Jesus were in there mothers womb)....well, he leapt!!!  He leapt for Joy at the presence of Jesus!  Happy Feast of John the Baptist, everyone!   Like John the Baptist, may you leap with joy at the presence of Jesus!

Happy Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus everyone!!! As He gives us love , let us also impart love to others to show we are part of His Family. Be strong, because we'll have people who are disagreeable in our life, they are hard to love- but Jesus will help us if we make the effort!
Love is all!

His Will be done

Going thru the mass readings today, I drew a blank.  As I stewed over it before the altar  in my house, God gave me a ray of understanding.  Jesus taught us the perfect prayer, the Lords’ prayer. When we pray it with our hearts and mind, it has all we need to enter into worship.  Acclamation, Contrition, Thanksgiving, and Supplication.   There is a rule, to receive the full power of this prayer…you must forgive all who have offended you…then the grace will rush in and then you will be working in accordance with the Will of God- as you stay constant in Him.

So as we go to do God’s work, spreading the Good News, being kind in action, a kind smile to a soul who needs attention, lend a helping hand, whatsoever it may be, even if you don’t see any fruit yet, since you did these things out of Love, it WILL take effect.  It may take days, months, years, or decades but Gods work was done thru You and He will do the rest- leave it all to Him.

“The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy, they are established for ever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.”
With this knowledge, He wants us to be happy and joyful, because it will be accomplished for His works are faithful, even when you see the negative happening before you- being misunderstood, persecution of every sort, impenetrable walls blocking hearts…be still and know in your heart, that God's will be done, because you were willing to help- and the Lords Prayer- will without doubt, work out its miracles.

Giving  and gratitude...too

Today's topic is all about giving. I always like to include gratitude when entering this topic. If we focus our thoughts on God's goodness each day, even for just a couple of minutes...our hearts will swell remembering all that He has given us. His generosity is so grand, and never ending. He gave us another chance through His son Jesus, sent him down to us.. He taught us, touched us, healed us, loved us...up to the eventual giving His Life for us. By doing that, He reunited us with the Father for those who repented and accepted Him as their Lord and Savior...After He ascended up to Heaven (giving us awe) He send His very own Spirit to accompany us through our life...at our calling. He gives us His own Body and Blood each day in the sacrament of the Eucharist and fully in ALL the sacraments...he's such a Giver....so, it is through His example we should become givers, too. Because He has given us so much, and we can see it in the evidence of our every day life...we should be shouting with joy, dancing with glee, full of gratitude. Because God is not prejudice, for it rains on the good and bad, He wants us to not be prejudice, too, when giving. He wants us to give, with a cheerful disposition, passing on the blessing of giving which first originated with Him, flowing through us to the next recipient. This is how we let grace continue to flow and multiply, if we allow it. If you are in a bad mood , the secret is, giving!!!! It is the total antidote to get out of that funk....try it if you don't believe me...its been tested and tried by yours truly and many others....because all the things He wants us to do is good for our well being, anyway!!!
I truly believe that prosperity is not only in spirituality, not only materially but also psychologically. "he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully"- So sow bountifully, willfully, joyfully, generously- and see how His wondrous works in your Life as you receive prosperity in all ways.

Dear Father in Heaven,
Thank you for sending Jesus, the perfect prototype, the example that I can live by. Thank you for all that I have, which completely surpasses all that I don't have. Send me you Holy Spirit every day, so I may ask for the attitude of gratitude and then when I give, it will be aligned with the right disposition. Help me to see that all I have is from You, and all I give to others, I am giving back to You. I love you , My God and Father the great Giver of all

All the early Christians gave all they had, money, resources, prayers and service to the poor and oppressed- they knew the secret.. this brought them the hidden treasure of joy, the treasure of perfection. The works of mercy reaps the indescribable joy that is borne in the heart and it could be ours!!!!!..Furthermore, all those that are your enemies must be in your heartfelt prayers…for this mirrors the example of the Heavenly Father..it is in that, that we can attain to be perfect for our Heavenly Father is perfect.
Heavenly Father, it is only thru your Holy Spirit that we can commit to doing the very difficult things that you want us to do- forgiving the unforgivable to show mercy to those who have hated us, to pray for the undeserving...It is in the free will of our decision to obey this that we can prove to You that we truly love You. Jesus said in His Word, "Be perfect for Your Heavenly Father is perfect"....executing Love in our actions brings us into the realm of Your Perfection.. Love is all.
Thank You Father...Son..and Holy Spirit...
